            <title>Oxfam Talk: Water Sanitation</title>

            <description>&lt;p&gt;Jane Cocking, Deputy Humanitarian Director for Oxfam GB, discusses water and sanitation aid and will include a practical demonstration of building a &amp;ldquo;tippy-tap&amp;rdquo; (or a water tap stand).. Ms Cocking is head of operations in Pakistan and has had to deal extensively with water and sanitation policy. She presided over Oxfam&amp;rsquo;s relief effort following the earthquakes in Kashmir in the winter of 2005-6. She is a regular speaker at Oxford and should provide an excellent talk.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The talk will take place in Exeter's Sasketchewan Room.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

From 1977 to 1985, he was a senior economist at the World Bank in Washington DC, working on China, Turkey and the 1980 World Development Report. From 1985 to 2000, he was a Professorial Fellow of the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex, and from 2000 to 2005 was Chief Economist of the UK's Department for International Development.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

Prof FitzGerald is a world renowned academic specialising in development &lt;br /&gt;
macroeconomics and trade linkages between industrial and developing countries. He also has conducted advisory work for many agencies including UNICEF and the UN. Since October 2007 he has been the Director of the Department of International Development (QEH) here in Oxford. &lt;br /&gt;

            <description>&lt;p&gt;Oxford Development Abroad are please to present a lecture on HEALTH ABROAD by world renowned author Jane Wilson-Howarth. This lecture will take place on Tuesday of 1st Week (22nd April) in Christ Church Lecture Room 1 beginning at 5.45 pm.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Jane Wilson Howarth is a qualified GP and has spent much of her life writing about travel health. She first graduated with a degree in ecology, and her interest in parasites and insects has continued to this day. She has lived for 11 years in Asia working for various health programmes. Jane has completed over 15 expeditions all over the world, and her experience about all things health related will be invaluable for all those that attend. She will give an illustrated talk on how to remain healthy whilst working and travelling abroad, and about the health challenges facing the populations of developing countries.&lt;/p&gt;
